Core Class: Tuesday; 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

  • Local employers partner with the MCA to provide on-the-job training for students (must be employed with an MCA-approved journeyman electrician/plumber)
  • Students receive certificate of completion from Bureau of Apprenticeship & Training & from *NCCER, upon completion of coursework & hours
  • Eligible to sit for journeyman level exam


  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Dependable transportation 
  • Must interview with committee
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Pass drug screenings
  • Pass a sponsor-approved math test
  • Complete all paperwork in application process
  • Read at a 9th grade level
  • Be physically capable of performing the essential duties of the craft (see Electrical or Plumbing links)
